This is super cool ^^ And art can look wonderful no matter what medium you use, it just depends on how you make it work. Honestly your ballpoint pen drawings look wonderful, obviously whoever told you that is just an uneducated dick.

I've followed you for a damn long time and I enjoy everything you do. Your digital art is good, but your ballpoint is far more inspired (as cheesy and cliche as that sounds). Do what makes you the happiest and fuck the dude who told you that.

By all means expand your skill set, but don't go dropping your preferred medium just because it isn't as popular. That's like saying a chef should throw out their frying pan and take up woodwork - always good stuff to know when you need it, but who's to say the chef can't make a brilliant cake as well?

I have to say no to this question, and to the artist who told you this, and to AirRaiser down there, no, you should not abandon what you enjoy and have talent in because a handful of loud know-it-alls decided you should.

If you're talking about getting professional employment for your artwork, you should consider developing your digital skills as well, but by no means should digital replace your pen work, or for that matter even feature more than your pen work.

Also that artist is incredibly dumb to say digital when there's a myriad of other traditional media you could excel in, probably with some ease since you're so good with pen already. And traditional work still has just as much merit and respect as it ever did, regardless of how many people will cry that digital art killed it. In the bigger picture it's alive and thriving.

Yeah~
Aw man you're welcome. There's a lot of stuff you post that I wish I could come up with a response to but never can. I'm really glad what I do figure out to say can mean something to you in a good way.
You're welcome :)
